Biography of Kari Paludan
An “outstanding voice,” according to the Washington Post, soprano, Karin Paludan, works in opera, recital, operetta, cabaret and musical theater, and also works extensively in educational and community outreach through Washington Performing Arts, the National Symphony Orchestra and Music For Autism. Performing as a soloist in opera and recital and as one half of The Paludan Sisters, she has performed throughout the United States with such companies as Community Concerts, New York City Opera, the Utah Festival Opera and the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, at The Kennedy Center, The Library of Congress, The National Gallery of Art and the Smithsonian. Kari and husband, Drake Sorey, (a professional photographer and drummer with The Highballers), live in McLean, VA with their fur-kid, Gracie.

Biography of Nikola Paskalov
Praised for his “brilliant in expression. . . Illuminated by gentle intensity” (Fränkische Landeszeitung), Nikola Paskalov has actively performed internationally, having given solo and chamber concerts throughout Europe and appeared with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra, Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Croatian Radio and Television, and Rucner Quartet (Croatia), Gajdov Quartet (Macedonia) and Kodaly Quartet (Hungary).
Recently he gave a solo recital at the concert series “Pianists of the World” at St. Martin-in-the-Fields” in London and gave a debut recital at Carnegie Hall in New York. He has also performed at the jubilee edition of the Ohrid Summer Festival, and he was awarded for his outstanding artistic achievement by the Macedonian Association of Musicians.
Nikola received his early education at a high school associated with the Moscow Conservatory P.I. Tchaikovsky in Moskow, and later studied at the Faculty of Music (FMU) in Skopje. He continued his studies further at the European Mozart Academy in Krakow (Poland), having worked with A. Satz, I. Roman, V. Lobanov, J. Vitenbah, D. Golub, A. Newman. He has also participated in master-classes by Paul Badura-Skoda, Georg Sebok, Gunter Rainhold and Peter Feuchtwanger. Since 1998 Nikola has worked and collaborated with Peter Feuchtwanger, working as his assistant on several international master-classes in Salzburg and Feuchtwangen.
Nikola appears on many recordings for the production of the Macedonian Radio and Television, former Yugoslav Radio and Television, SJF records and Croatian Radio, and produced CD’s under the label of JMM (Jeunesse Musicale Macedonia) in 2007 year and in 2013 CD with recording of N. Glassl piano concerto with the Symphony Orchestra of the Croatian Radio and Television under their label.
In August 2014 he moved to the Washington DC metro area in McLean/Virginia, where he is continuing with his professional activities, performing occasionally in Maryland and Virginia and was recently invited to perform a benefit concert as a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America. In parallel with his concert career, he has taught piano teacher at the Music Conservatory (State Music School) in Skopje-Macedonia since 1997 and in the USA he brings his experience as a piano teacher as well by opening a piano studio where he coaches young pianists.
