— a “hybrid” event —

piano

This is the first of my own series of programs that I call “Standing on Giants’ Shoulders” (SGS), dedicated to exploring and rediscovering monumental classical works.

This program, “Chapter one: HammerKlavier – Beethoven Reimagined”, focuses on Beethoven’s most significant piano sonata, Op.106 “HammerKlavier” which will be the center piece, and will also feature a commissioned work by Dr. Daniel Pesca that is inspired by HammerKlavier.

Preparing this program has been a joyful and exciting journey, and I am delighted to share it with the audience at Emerson Avenue.

PROGRAM

“Impromptu #2 (for Beethoven)”
By Daniel Pesca

Sonata Op.106 “Hammerklavier”
By Ludwig van Beethoven
