This performance will be a snapshot of a major recital Alex will give in northern Germany in late August for the town of Husum’s famed PIANO RARITIES FESTIVAL.  Alex is to be the only “popular” pianist, performing elaborate arrangements of film scores, operetta, and obscure ’20s & ’30s pop toons (ahem! yes, Alex wrote that!)  Depending on available time, composers may include Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Emmerich Kalman, Mischa Spoliansky, Kaper & Jurmann, Vernon Duke, and a Soviet era pop writer (no joke). Consider the repertoire “late Romantic with a beat” !!
