The passion, drama, and heart of traditional tango are infused with the idioms and colors of Emmanuel Trifilio, an Argentinian emigrant composer, forging his musical path in America. His soulful stories are crafted into airy waltzes, upbeat milongas, and mellifluous ballades and told by three instrumental voices – bandoneon, piano, and bass. The Trifilio Tango Trio also intersperses in its repertoire their own arrangements of old standards and favorites.
