Biographies

Barbara Peterson Cackler was born and raised in Kansas, where she began studying the piano with her mother at the age of four.  She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin Conservatory of Music and her Master of Music degree from Yale School of Music.  She has done extensive private teaching, accompanying, and chamber music, and has served as music director and organist for several churches. She currently serves as Director of Music/Organist at Central United Methodist Church in Arlington, Virginia.  She has given solo recitals throughout the United States and the Indian Sub-Continent as well.  She was a featured guest artist on WGMS Radio’s “Spotlight” program.  She has also performed with the Delhi Symphony as a piano soloist.  Her teachers have included Miles Mauney, Olga Barabini, Donald Currier, Claude Frank, Béla Böszörmenyi-Nagy and Thomas Mastroianni.  Ms. Cackler maintains an active private teaching studio and is a member of the American Guild of Organists, the Friday Morning Music Club and the MTNA.

Hailed by critics for her “musical elegance and brilliant technique”, pianist Rosanne Conway is a native of Seattle, Washington, where she performed with the Seattle Symphony at the age of 16.  She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in piano performance and, as winner of the Petri Award for Foreign Study, attended the Hochschule fur Musik und Theatre in Hannover, Germany and received a diploma from the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. In New York, she studied with Earl Wild at Juilliard. Ms. Conway has appeared on many local and regional concert series including Anderson House, the Arts Club of Washington, the State Department, the Luxembourg Embassy, and for the American Liszt Society Festival at the Kennedy Center.  Ms. Conway and Santiago Rodriguez have recorded Rachmaninoff’s four hand/two piano works for the Elan label.  Ms. Conway has also served on the faculties of Lewis and Clark College, the University of Maryland, and National Cathedral School.  She is currently a member of the Main Street Chamber Players and maintains a teaching studio in Fairfax.
