Hailing from State College, PA, David Palmer teaches, performs, composes, and records music in a variety of styles, instruments, and contexts. He graduated from the Eastman School of Music in 1998 and taught music at Pfeiffer University, a Methodist school in North Carolina, for 13 years. Since moving to Falls Church in 2020, he has worked as music minster at the Church of the Covenant in Arlington and at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Annandale and as interim music minster at Christ Episcopal Church, Capitol Hill; taught piano to children; and done volunteer work. He is active in the DMV music scene as a jazz and rock musician. David has released 24 albums of his compositions, the latest being Plan B, and teaches a Protest Music course for Wesley Seminary in Washington.

Sara Zhu is a genre-blending jazz and classical flutist, vocalist, composer, and producer based in the Washington, DC area. She performs regularly as both a leader and side-woman in many of DC’s staple establishments including Blues Alley, The Kennedy Center, Strathmore, The Kreeger Museum, and the Chilean and Belgium Embassies. In the 2023-2024 arts season, Zhu held a residency at Forte Jazz Lounge in Charleston, SC. She is featured on Alfred Yun’s recent album, “Voice and Phenomenon,” amongst many other recording projects. In addition to performing, Zhu is an avid educator, serving as the adjunct flute and jazz combo professor at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Zhu is currently working on the first album with her alternative rock band, Your Trusted Officials. Their single, “Everglades,” is currently available on all streaming platforms.
