BIOGRAPHY
Tanya Anisimova is a Chechen-born American cellist and composer. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Suntory Hall, Beethoven Hall, the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and the National Gallery of Art, among many others. A graduate of Yale University, Boston University, and the Moscow Conservatory, Anisimova is the only cellist to record J.S. Bach’s complete Violin Sonatas and Partitas on the cello in their original keys. After a hiatus to care for her husband, artist Alexander Anufriev, she is returning to the stage with an upcoming album and an October tour through France and Italy.
Teddi Yoo is a Korean-American collaborative pianist based in the Washington, D.C. area. A prizewinner in numerous competitions, she made her debut at Carnegie Hall and received the Certificate of Merit for Excellence in the Arts from the National Society of Arts and Letters, Washington, D.C. Chapter, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Last summer, she was selected as a Collaborative Piano Fellow at the Music Academy of the West, where she was a finalist in the prestigious Duo Competition. Previously, she attended the Bowdoin International Music Festival and the Atlantic Music Festival. She holds Bachelor’s degrees in Piano Performance and Psychology from Rice University and a Master’s degree in Collaborative Piano from the University of Maryland, College Park where she studied under the instruction of Rita Sloan. In addition to performing, she works full-time in development and communications in the nonprofit sector.
