As a frequent substitute with The Philadelphia Orchestra and Pittsburgh Symphony, he enjoyed unique experiences including tours in Europe and Asia, recording albums for Deutsche Grammophon and Fresh! from Reference Recordings, and performing for Pope Francis at the World Meeting of Families in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to performing with artists such as Steven Tyler, Aretha Franklin, Common, Audra McDonald, Herbie Hancock, Maxwell, Ben Folds, and Gregory Porter, Benjamin has recorded music for use at Super Bowls XLVII to LII, and played concerts in over a dozen countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ben values the many ways that music has a positive effect on the community. He has performed chamber concerts to benefit organizations with missions of inclusivity, such as Encircle and the Boulanger Initiative. Madrid is the concertmaster of The American Pops Orchestra and The McLean Orchestra. He has also appeared as guest concertmaster for the Eclipse Chamber Orchestra, National Gallery Orchestra, National Philharmonic, Chesapeake Orchestra at St. Mary River Concert Series, the Alexandria Symphony, and the Chamber Orchestra of San Antonio. Madrid is a founding member of the critically acclaimed Teiber Trio and has played in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Library of Congress, the Phillips Collection, and The White House. Since making his solo debut at 16, Madrid has appeared with numerous orchestras throughout the United States and abroad. Solo performances include concertos by Beethoven, Bartok, Bach, Mozart, Brahms Double Concerto, Bernstein Serenade, Chausson Po e, Waxman Carmen Fantasy, Vivaldi, Piazzolla, and Richter Recomposed Four Seasons. Madrid received his bachelor of music degree in violin performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music after pursuing a Physiological Science degree from UCLA. Madrid has participated in numerous music festivals, including Santa Barbara Music Academy of the West, Holland Music Sessions, Musicorda, Idyllwilde (CA), and Soundfest (Cape Cod) with the Colorado Quartet. He currently plays on a J.B. She has performed with ensembles including American Institute of Musical Studies Festival Orchestra, Charleston Symphony, Delaware Symphony, Schenectady Symphony Orchestra, The Philly POPS, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Eclipse Chamber Orchestra, and the Maryland Lyric Opera, and she has worked with artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Andrea Bocelli, Linda Watson, Bobby Vinton, Ledisi, and Steve Martin. She has worked as a teaching artist for The Philadelphia Orchestra Association, Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra, Greenville County Youth Orchestra, 9th Street Chamber Music, DC Youth Orchestra Program, and American Youth Philharmonic, and she maintains a small teaching studio guided by the principles of Shin&#8217;ichi Suzuki. Most recently she was a member of the Houston Grand Opera Orchestra, and frequently performed with other ensembles in Houston. She is an avid proponent of new music and loves experimenting with different styles, including improvisation and folk music. This passion led her to co-found the Pacific Crest Trio in 2020, a group that dives into multiple genres and prioritizes engaging more audiences and community outreach. Her eclectic tastes have also led her to appearances at Jazz at Lincoln Center, performances for patients recovering in Mount Sinai Hospital\u2019s transplant ward, and a performance with Yo-Yo Ma\u2019s Silk Road Ensemble at Tanglewood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ariana has toured internationally with the CDSQ to Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Other summer festival appearances include the Charles Ives Music Festival, Snake River Music Festival, Concerts in the Barn, Grand Teton Music Festival, Strings Music Festival, Fontainebleau Conservatoire Am\u00e9ricain, Spoleto Festival USA, Tanglewood Music Center, Le Domaine Forget Chamber Music Festival, and the Olympic Music Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A graduate of the Juilliard School and Rice University\u2019s Shepherd School of Music, Ariana maintains a private cello studio, and is passionate about coaching chamber music.
