We both love to listen to short pieces and songs that give you a taste of so many different colors and emotions, but leave enough undetermined to let you draw your own conclusions. Each of these pieces mean something personal to us, whether it’s about our relationship, nostalgia, personal tribulations, or just simple beauty. This concert is dedicated to my beautiful nephew Yossarian, who was diagnosed with ALD earlier this year, and to his amazing parents— my brother and sister-in-law— Edison and Sophia.

Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) is an X-linked disease that is caused by an underlying genetic mutation which affects the body’s ability to break down very long–chain fatty acids (VLCFAs). The saturated VLCFAs build up in the brain, nervous system, and adrenal gland and eventually destroy the myelin sheath that surrounds the nerves. ALD affects approximately 1 in 17,000 people worldwide. Visit ALD Connect’s website to learn more about the disease. https://aldconnect.org/

Home Page

PROGRAM

Liebesfreud – Fritz Kreisler

Le Grand Tango – Astor Piazzolla

Liebeslied – Fritz Kreisler

Schön Rosmarin – Fritz Kreisler

Great is Thy Faithfulness (hymn) – arr.
