Comprised of several of Baltimore\u2019s finest musicians, the Ann Street Trio believes in engaging their audience through creative programming and conversation, and strives to give them an up-close look at the creativity and excitement of chamber music. The Ann Street Trio reaches audiences through chamber music series in the region, university engagements, and private salon concerts. With years of diverse performance experience, each member brings a particular expertise to their interpretation.<br><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.annstreettrio.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.annstreettrio.com<\/a> <br><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/annstreettrio\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/annstreettrio<\/a><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><strong>Hui-Chuan Chen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">A native of Taiwan, pianist Hui-Chuan Chen began her piano studies at the age four and made her debut performance at six. As a successful soloist, chamber musician, collaborative pianist and educator, Hui-Chuan has traveled and performed widely throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.<br>She has won numerous prizes at competitions for her solo performances, including the Wonderlic piano competition in Baltimore, the Concerto Competition of International Music Festival in Siena, Italy, the Kaohsiung City Competition, Kawai Piano Competition, and the University Piano Concerto Competition of NTNU, Taiwan.<br>As an avid chamber musician, she has performed at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and Supreme court of the United States. She has performed and collaborates with accomplished musicians such as cellist, Amit Peled, and flutist, Demarre McGill.<br>Hui-Chuan holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University where she is also a faculty member in the Preparatory Division. She also serves on the faculty of the University of Maryland Baltimore City, Washington Conservatory of Music and the Heifetz International Music Festival in Virginia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><strong>Katlyn DeGraw<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">Cellist Katlyn DeGraw is a seasoned performer with recent appearances around the globe, including concerts throughout the U.S., Canada, and Asia. In demand as an orchestral cellist, Ms. DeGraw is the Associate Principal Cellist of the Maryland Symphony, and appears frequently with the Richmond and Annapolis Symphonies. Additionally, she has performed with the Baltimore and Charleston Symphonies on numerous occasions. Equally passionate about chamber music, Ms. DeGraw has been a guest on a number of concert series in the region and is the founding cellist of the Ann Street Trio, based in Baltimore.<br>In addition to her performing, Ms. DeGraw is a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher.&nbsp; She teaches at the Baltimore School for the Arts, and maintains a private studio of successful and engaged students.<br>Ms. DeGraw holds a Bachelor degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Music where she studied with Amit Peled, and a Master degree from the Eastman School of Music where she worked with David Ying. DeGraw plays on a beautiful French cello made by Nicolas Gilles in 2010.<br><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.katlyndegraw.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.katlyndegraw.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\"><strong>Erik Franklin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">Clarinetist Erik Franklin has given hundreds of concerts in nearly all fifty states, performing concerts in venues from veterans\u2019 homes to Carnegie Hall. Equal parts performer and teacher, Mr. Franklin balances his time teaching as Adjunct Instructor of Clarinet at Towson and performing chamber music in the Baltimore area with the Ann Street Trio and across the country&nbsp;with his award-winning ensemble, the Novacane Quartet.&nbsp; He believes wholeheartedly in the vitality of music education and seeks to create a new generation of musicians and music lovers.<br>Every summer, he directs the Indiana Clarinet Experience, a weeklong summer arts camp for young clarinetists. Mr. Franklin is a former member of the United States Army Field Band (Washington, D.C.) and holds degrees from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and Furman University in South Carolina.
