Horn player Lauren Hunt<\/strong> is an international musician who creates
\ntransformative listening and educational experiences to audiences
\nacross four continents. Winner of the university division of the 2013
\nInternational Horn Competition of the Americas, Lauren has
\npresented recitals throughout the east coast of the United States and
\nhas performed in orchestras in eight countries. She has given master
\nclasses in Brazil and Colombia, as well as in the United States.
\nSo far this year, Lauren has appeared as a soloist with all
\nthree of the premiere ensembles at the University of Georgia’s
\nSchool of Music. Formerly, she has performed concertos with the
\nMcLean Symphony and the American Youth Philharmonic. She
\nwas the first musician ever to win both of the Friday Morning
\nMusic Club’s student music competitions in the same year. Also
\nactive as a chamber musician, Lauren was a founding member of
\nthe award-winning woodwind quintet, the Andra Winds, which was
\ndesignated as an Honors Chamber Ensemble at the New England
\nConservatory of Music (NEC). In the summer of 2013, she was a
\nfellow at the prestigious Norfolk Chamber Music Festival. A
\nconsummate orchestral musician, Lauren Hunt has appeared in
\nrecent performances with the Chattanooga Symphony, Yale
\nPhilharmonia Orchestra and the Delphi Chamber Orchestra. She
\nwas a fellow at the Music Academy of the West in 2012, and she is
\ncurrently a substitute with the New World Symphony. In the
\nsummer of 2014, she will be co-principal horn of the National
\nRepertory Orchestra.
\nLauren Hunt is currently working towards a Doctor of
\nMusical Arts degree at the University of Georgia in Athens, where
\nshe is a Presidential Fellow. There, she studies with Richard Deane
\nand Jean Martin-Williams. She received a Master of Music in
\nHorn Performance from the Yale School of Music in 2013, where
\nshe had the Alec Templeton Scholarship and Fellowship. At Yale,
\nMs. Hunt also won the Philip Francis Nelson Prize. Ms. Hunt
\ngraduated from NEC in 2011, where she received a Bachelor of
\nMusic with Highest Honors. At NEC, she was a recipient of the
\nLotta Crabtree Educational Fund Scholarship. Ms. Hunt\u2019s principal
\nteachers include William Purvis, Richard Mackey, Jason Snider,
\nand Ted Thayer.<\/p>\n

Born in Maringa, Brazil, Jessica Pacheco<\/strong> began studying piano at
\nthe age of three with her mother. Growing up in Brasilia, her notable
\nteachers included Vanya Marise, Elza Kasuko, and Lilian Mendonca.
\nShe received a bachelor\u2019s degree from the Federal University of
\nGoias, where she studied with Dr. Luiz Medalha Filho. Jessica
\nreceived her master\u2019s degree from the University of Wyoming,
\nwhere she studied with Dr. Theresa Bogard. Jessica has participated
\nin training courses with renowned musicians, including Sergei
\nDorensky (International Summer Course in Brazil and the
\nInternationale Sommerakademie Mozarteum, Salzburg – Austria),
\nMichael Uhde, Pierre Feraux, Viktor Chuchkov (28th International
\nSummer Course of Bras\u00edlia), Hamilton Tescarollo, Luiz Guilherme
\nBlumenschein, Fany Solter , and Wu Han. Ms. Pacheco has been the
\nrecipient of numerous piano awards in Brazil. Jessica is currently
\npursuing her DMA in Piano Performance at the University of
\nGeorgia.
\nLucas Scalamogna<\/strong>, born in Resistencia, Argentina, has performed
\nas a soloist with orchestras and in numerous recitals in Croatia, Italy,
\nthe United States, and Argentina, where he was Guest Artist of the
\nArgentine National Congress. His success at competitions include
\nthe \u201cEtudes and Scales\u201d International Competition (Croatia), the
\nJeunesses Musicales International Competition (Macedonia), the
\n\u201cAlfredo e Vanda Marcosig\u201d European Competition (Italy), and the
\nGeorgia MTNA Chamber Music Competition. Scalamogna has
\nparticipated in international music festivals such as the Schleswig-
\nHolstein Musik Festival, the Salzburg Festival, the National
\nSymphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute, and the Youth
\nOrchestra of the Americas. At the age of fifteen, Scalamogna was a
\nfull scholarship student at the \u2018Ino Mirkovic\u2019 Music Academy in
\nCroatia. He studied under Julia Bushkova at the University of North
\nTexas, where he obtained a Bachelor\u2019s Degree. Scalamogna holds a
\nMaster\u2019s Degree from the University of Georgia and is currently a
\ndoctoral student of Levon Ambartsumian.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
