Biography<\/strong>
\n<\/span><\/h1>\n

As highly versed and accomplished guitar duo, Nata\u0161a Klasinc<\/strong> and Miroslav Lon\u010dar<\/strong> have been concertizing together for over twenty-five years. This husband-and-wife duo has performed at a variety of music festivals and concert series across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Their performances have been described by numerous concert presenters and music critics as: “eye-opening”, “outstanding”, “one of the best”, a “moving musical experience”, “enlightening”, “sparkling”, and “performed with uncommon virtuosity and musicality of the highest order”. Klasinc&Lon\u010dar Duo’s concert programs blend baroque, classical and romantic compositions with Lon\u010dar’s original works, transcriptions, and arrangements of Croatian and other Mediterranean folk styles and music of the Viennese tradition.<\/p>\n

Nata\u0161a and Miroslav formed their duo at the University of Graz, Austria, where they both studied classical guitar with professors Marga B\u00e4uml and Martin Myslive\u010dek. Soon after forming their duo, they won the Best Guitar Duo Prize at the International Guitar Competition Toyoko Yamashita in Berlin. They both received their Doctor of Musical Arts Degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi. The Klasinc&Lon\u010dar Duo can be heard on\u00a0five\u00a0CD recordings:\u00a0A Fantastic Journey<\/em>\u2014 a CD with original compositions by Lon\u010dar, Images\u2014<\/em>with <\/em>works\u00a0for two guitars,\u00a0Con Spirito<\/em>\u2014mostly Lon\u010dar’s transcriptions for two guitars and cello, a CD accompanying the music\u00a0book\u00a0Danzas of Puerto Rico<\/em>, and the Christmas Album <\/em>released by Aguado Guitar Concerts<\/em>.<\/p>\n
