It is a tribute to those heady musical times that there is\u00a0still so much left to find.<\/p>\n<p>Alex has performed internationally at such venues as England&#8217;s Aldeburgh\u00a0Festival,\u00a0\u00a0Husum (2007 &amp; 2015&#8211;&#8220;Piano Rarities Festival&#8221;), Washington\u00a0DC&#8217;s Kennedy Center, the Coolidge Auditorium (Library of Congress),\u00a0various Manhattan\/Baltimore\/Washington night spots, and national ragtime\u00a0festivals.\u00a0\u00a0He has recorded prolifically for England&#8217;s SHELLWOOD PRODUCTIONS,\u00a0\u00a0Los Angeleno label OPERETTA ARCHIVES, and Pennsylvania&#8217;s\u00a0STOMP OFF, and has produced\/annotated several reissues of the virtuoso\u00a0popular pianists of the 78RPM period, for both Shellwood and the\u00a0Pittsburgh company, RIVERMONT (for which he has also recorded, along\u00a0with two brilliant singing friends).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Doug Bowles<\/strong> serves on the musical theatre faculties of Howard University and the Catholic University of America,\u00a0teaches private voice and is active as a performer on stage and at the piano. With Alex Hassan, Doug has created\u00a0THREE FOR A SONG and has appeared around the country and internationally performing newly discovered songs\u00a0by the major established 1930s composers from Harold Arlen to Fats Waller to George Gershwin.\u00a0 They have\u00a0appeared on National Public Radio\u2019s ALL THINGS CONSIDERED and BBC INTERNATIONAL.\u00a0 Doug appears on three\u00a0CDs:\u00a0 NEW DEAL RHYTHM (with Alex Hassan) for Shellwood Records; THE GREATEST SONGS YOU\u2019VE NEVER HEARD\u00a0(with Soprano Karin Paludan) for Rivermont Records and most recently on SUBLIMITIES: A CY WALTER TRIBUTE on Harbinger Recorders for the Musical Theatre Project in NY.\u00a0 Doug also appears on Wax Cylinder, recorded at the\u00a0Edison National History Site by Peter Dilg.\u00a0 Doug\u2019s work has received enthusiastic reviews from Michael Feinstein,\u00a0Leonard Maltin, Vince Giordano and Ethan Morrden (noted author and expert on the American Musical Theatre).<\/p>\n<p>Check out Doug\u2019s activities at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dougbowles.com\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.dougbowles.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1580183038956000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGRQVsV_EFLywBmsX54F1pDUl2mGg\">www.dougbowles.com<\/a>\u00a0and on facebook at Doug Bowles:\u00a0 Classic American\u00a0Entertainment and Three for a Song.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jennifer Timberlake<\/strong> is a native Washingtonian and graduate of The Catholic University of America\u00a0with a Bachelors of Music in Musical Theatre. She has performed all over the DC area including at\u00a0The Kennedy Center, Olney Theatre Center, Round House Theatre, The Washington Stage Guild and\u00a0Adventure Theatre which holds a special place as it\u2019s where she met her husband.
