Praised for his “brilliance in expression…illuminated by gentle intensity” (Fränkische Landeszeitung), Nikola Paskalov has actively performed internationally, having given solo and chamber concerts throughout Europe and appeared with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra, Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Croatian Radio and Television, and Rucner Quartet (Croatia), Gajdov Quartet (Macedonia) and Kodaly Quartet (Hungary).
Recently he gave a solo recital at the concert series “Pianists of the World” at St. Martin-in-the-Fields” in London and gave a debut recital at Carnegie Hall in New York. He has also performed at the jubilee edition of the Ohrid Summer Festival, and he was awarded for his outstanding artistic achievement by the Macedonian Association of Musicians.
Nikola received his early education at a high school associated with the Moscow Conservatory P.I. Tchaikovsky in Moskow, and later studied at Faculty of Music (FMU) in Skopje, with Boris Romanov. He continued his studies further at European Mozart Academy in Krakow (Poland), having worked with A. Satz, I. Roman, V. Lobanov, J. Vitenbah, D. Golub, A. Newman. He has also participated in master-classes by Paul Badura-Skoda, Georg Sebok, Gunter Rainhold and Peter Feuchtwanger. Since 1998 Nikola has worked and collaborated with Peter Feuchtwanger, working as his assistant on several international master-classes in Salzburg and Feuchtwangen.
Nikola appears on many recordings for the production of the Macedonian Radio and Television, former Yugoslav Radio and Television, SJF records and Croatian Radio, and produced CD’s under the label of JMM (Jeunesse Musicale Macedonia) in 2007 year and in 2013 CD with recording of N.Glassl piano concerto with the Symphony Orchestra of the Croatian Radio and Television under their label.
